What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible is God’s revealed word to humanity. It is both verbally and plenary inspired by God as given in the original manuscripts of the 66 books of the Bible. The Bible is infallible and without error and is unchanging. It is our one and only source for truth and the standard by which the Christian has the privilege and responsibility to live by.

  • We believe God exists eternally as the Trinity – one God, yet three Persons: Father (God), Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit. He is the loving Creator of everything that exists. He is the one true God. John 10:30; 1Corinthians 8:6

  • We believe Jesus Christ is fully God, the second person of the Trinity. He eternally pre-existed as God and came to earth in human form, born of a virgin. Jesus led a sinless life yet suffered death on the cross for the sins of the world and was buried. He rose again on the 3rd day and later ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the throne of God and will one day return again.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is equally God. He is the third person of the Trinity and a divine person who convicts people of their sin and draws them to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit regenerates the sinner; eternally secures, indwells and empowers the new believer, and guides, teaches and corrects the believer in all walks of life.

  • We believe Satan is a real being, once an archangel of God and because of his rebellion against God was cast from God’s presence. He is the supreme enemy of God and God’s people. Satan has no power over the believer, but God has allowed him to tempt them to sin. Satan is doomed and in the end he will be judged to eternal punishment.

  • We believe that the entire universe and everything in it was created by God’s spoken word, within 6 – 24 hour days as recorded in Genesis 1 & 2.

  • We believe that everyone is born a sinner. Sin separates us from God from and because of that we destined for Hell. We believe that Jesus died on the cross in payment for our sin thereby making a way for us to escape the punishment of death. God offers forgiveness of sin, redemption and eternal life to all who by grace through faith, call upon Jesus Christ for salvation. Salvation is by grace through faith alone.

  • We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell. All who have received salvation by grace through faith, have the promise of Heaven upon their death – a place of peace, joy and the presence of God. Those who die without salvation will enter Hell, a place of eternal misery, punishment and separation from God.

If you have never called upon Jesus for salvation, would you receive Him now? Everyone who call’s on the name of the Lord will be saved! Romans 10:13

  • We believe that the church is a community of believers who represent the body of Christ here on earth. We are to be united together in Christian love, purpose and belief and are to pray for and minister to one another. We believe in two Biblical ordinances of the local church: baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. The first as an outward witness of what has taken place inwardly, and the second as a reminder of Christ’s death on the cross for our sin.
