Jeff and Sharon Scheibenpflug
Pastor Jeff Scheibenpflug and his wife Sharon both grew up and met in southern Rhode Island. Shortly after they were married, Pastor Jeff attended and graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC earning a BA in Biblical Studies. They then moved to Landsdale, PA where he received his seminary training and earned a Master of Divinity, at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary. He later returned to the seminary earning a Doctor of Ministry degree.
It was always their intention to return to New England and start a church but God had other plans and called them to full time ministry in Ramsey, New Jersey – where Pastor Jeff has been the Sr. Pastor of Grace Baptist Church for almost 30 years.
Pastor Jeff has a heart for studying and preaching the word of God and for seeing souls come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. He and Sharon have been married for 35 years and have 3 grown children—Nicholas, Emily and Jonathan and a son-in law, Ryan.
Justin and Desaraye Pope
The importance of developing a strong walk with Christ was instilled in Justin at a young age. He was born in Memphis, TN but later moved with his family to Ramsey, NJ where Grace Baptist quickly became his church home. His participation in youth programs and engaging in strong fellowships allowed his relationship with Christ to continue to grow.
Justin earned his Bachelor’s degree from Messiah College. The environment at the school encouraged further development in his spiritual life, and answered many questions so that he was able to claim the faith as his own.
Years later he met Desaraye, the love of his life! She soon became part of the Grace Baptist family and was baptized some time after. The two were happily married on April 23, 2016. Always looking to serve and grow within the church, Desaraye supports her husband in his elder ministry.
Andrew and Vanessa Schneidman
Andrew is an attorney, currently working in Northern NJ. Andrew and his wife Vanessa married on September 6, 2020. Vanessa is a Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter, and has been singing for as long as she can remember. She also works at an advertising agency in Montclair.
Andrew and Vanessa are passionate members of the body of Christ. They were born and raised in Bergen County, NJ, and gave their lives to Jesus in 2017. They are joyful servants at Grace Baptist Church, as Andrew serves his first term as an elder and Vanessa serves as the worship leader.
They look forward to all that the Lord will do in their lives and for the work He will complete through them at GBC!
Worship Leader - Vanessa Marie
Vanessa Marie is a contemporary Christian singer/songwriter from Upper Saddle River who has been singing for as long as she can remember. When Vanessa devoted her life to Jesus Christ, her life completely changed. The Lord led her to Grace Baptist Church in 2017 and she is so excited to use her given talents to lead the congregation in praising our amazing God!
Ebenezer and Vinitha Phillip
Ebenezer Phillip has been privileged to be born and raised in a staunch Christian family. Soon after graduating from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore, INDIA Ebenezer worked for Christian organizations in different capacities before moving into the corporate world.
He has always loved serving the Lord through Children and Youth ministries.
He holds a Masters’ in Business Administration, and his work takes him places where he does not miss opportunities to share the Love of Christ among young and curious minds.
In 2014 Ebenezer relocated to the USA through Job promotion. Ebenezer is married to Vinitha, who is pursuing her Ph.D. and loves teaching as a profession. They have two daughters, Emelda Veronica and Evangeline Venessa. Ebenezer also enjoys wildlife sightseeing, trekking, and his new hobby, flying remote aircraft.
